In the second or third trimester of your pregnancy a symptom that may appear is carpal tunnel syndrome. You may be experiencing carpal tunnel syndrome if you have swelling or pressure in the wrists that is causing pain, tingling, and/or numbness. Pregnant women can experience carpal tunnel syndrome because of the water retention, which leads to swe...lling and pressure in our wrists and ankles.
