Pregnancy & Chiropractic: Week 34 with Erin

Ever since I hit my 8th month mark I have been experiencing acid reflux symptoms. As the baby gets bigger it pushes my stomach up causing acid to reach my esophagus.

To reduce acid reflux you can eat smaller meals and try not to eat right before you go to bed. You should wait about two hours since your last meal before you go to sleep, and make sure you prop yourself up at night.

You can also be treated by a chiropractor to reduce your acid reflux. If you see a chiropractor for this they would adjust in the area of your mid-back.. More specifically they would adjust you at the T7-T10 area which innervates your stomach.

When I wake up in the middle of the night and all else fails, I treat myself to a couple of tums...keep them next to your bed, they have been a lifesaver for me!
