One of the things I am most passionate about in life is horseback riding. Horseback riding has many benefits and it's one trick I use to stay fit; with riding I can do something I love while staying active.
There are many benefits to riding, one being posture. Without good posture it can cause weakened or poor balance. Growing up riding horses has improved my posture greatly. Riding is also like a full body workout. Your legs and calves are your anchors and help guide while riding. To help improve legs, core, back, posture and balance trainers often ask you to ride without stirrups which can be very difficult.
When it comes to fitness, it's really important to find something fun and enjoyable. It's easier to form habits and reach your goals when you're enjoying what you are doing. Remember to think outside of the box when brainstorming for ideas to stay fit. And if you can't think of one, give horseback riding a try! You may be pleasantly surprised with how much of a workout it can actually be!
