Palmer Proud

Our three Doctor Belvilles all completed their chiropractic training through Palmer College of Chiropractic.

Palmer College of Chiropractic was founded in Davenport, IA by Daniel David Palmer, the Father of Chiropractic. Established in 1897, Palmer was the first chiropractic school in the world, marking the beginning for formal education in the field. The mission of Palmer College of Chiropractic is to promote learning, deliver health care, engage our communities and advance knowledge through research.

The college, accredited by the Council on Chiropractic Education, offers a comprehensive curriculum that integrates basic science courses, chiropractic techniques, clinical training, and research. Palmer College is known for its emphasis on a variety of chiropractic techniques, including the Palmer Package, which includes Diversified, Gonstead, and Thompson techniques. Furthermore, Palmer has consistently developed and updated its curriculum to reflect the latest advancements in chiropractic science. This approach ensures that students receive a well-rounded education while the institution maintains a leading reputation. In addition to the robust curriculum, Palmer places a strong emphasis on hands-on clinical experience. It operates several outpatient clinics where students gain practical experience under the supervision of experienced practitioners. This focus on real-world training prepares graduates to be confident in their practice.

As previously highlighted, Palmer is consistently working on advancing the field of chiropractic. The institution has a research center dedicated to significant studies contributing to the innovation of chiropractic practices. This commitment to research helps ensure that the education provided is progressive and evidence-based. Palmer’s large, international alumni network, many of whom have had significant contributions to the field of chiropractic, further advance and innovate the field. This network also promotes the school and provides a community for current and graduated students.

It is easy to see that Palmer College of Chiropractic fulfills their mission and why over 30% of all practicing Chiropractic Doctors are Palmer graduates. We could not be happier to boast three of our own!
